Must-Haves for Your Kitchen Remodel

If you’re remodeling your kitchen, you’ve likely got a vision of what you want. It should be functional, energy efficient, and beautiful at the same time. But there might be some small details you’re overlooking. There might even be some cool kitchen features you never even thought of. Either way, here are some kitchen must-haves for your remodel to consider adding to your list.

Corner Cabinets and Drawers

The corner is one of the worst space wasters for cabinets. Stuff easily gets lost in the back or the space is just unusable. This is a pain, so having drawers and cabinets that are designed to work within those spaces are fantastic. They can practically act as secret compartments and are especially useful for storing items you might not necessarily need access to all the time, but use frequently enough that you don’t want to put it away in a storage closet or attic.

A Single Large Sink

Large, deep sinks are the way to go when it comes to the kitchen. They’re fantastic for soaking large pots and pans in, scrubbing vegetables, washing the dog or baby, and more. Divided sinks can be ok, but they make it difficult to properly wash the bigger kitchen necessities. You want to make the most of your sink space, so it’s better to install a single, deep basin.

Must-Haves for Your Kitchen Remodel

Lazy-Susan Turntables

It’s annoying when you need to reach past a ton of stuff in the front of a cabinet to get to what you need in the back, and usually, you’re blindly feeling around for it. Well, not when you’ve got lazy-susan turntables in your cabinets. With these installed in your cabinets, you’ll be able to just spin it around to get to what you’re looking for without knocking stuff over. It’s simple but ingeniously efficient.

Pull-Out Trash & Recycle Drawer

We’ll be honest; trash and recycling bins are necessary, but they’re unsightly. No one really likes having a trash can or recycling bin sitting out in the kitchen. That’s why it’s become so trendy to install a pull-out drawer that they can hide in. They not only hide the bins, but they contain any smells and prevent any spilling or tripping hazards.

Hidden Outlets

Outlets are great. With all the appliances kitchens are known to have, the more outlets you can fit in your kitchen, the better. But sometimes you don’t want those outlets visible or out in the open, so hidden outlets are great. They can be in drawers, installed in the undersides of cabinets, and tucked away in places where they are easily accessible but out of the way.

Remodeling your kitchen is the perfect chance to get everything you could ever want. You can let your imagination run wild and add in all the little conveniences you’ve always envisioned.
